Selle San Marco is a world leading brand in the production of saddles for bicycles. It was in the 70's that Luigi Girardi, the owner, together with his son Antonio and the daughter-in-law Giuseppina, sets the basis of what is the current main production of Selle San Marco, starting creating specific saddles for professional cyclists. The brand soon became a point of reference for those who practice cycling, from professionals to amateurs, who choose the handmade saddles produced in Rossano Veneto for their high quality, comfort and excellent performance. It was 1978, when in the market is introduced a model destined to revolutionize the world of cycling: the Concor was born, the first shaped saddle in the world with a Bio-Anatomic form, which kicked off the tendency to create tighter models, with nylon base, leather cover and the first polyurethane paddings. With this saddle champions like Greg Lemond and Bernard Hinault got their greatest successes and they will not separate from these anymore. With the Concor, Lance Armstrong became World Champion in 1993 and with the next version, the Concor Light, he won all of his Tour de France. In the following years, up to the present day, arose further variants and further models of saddles to suit every minimum need of the customers.
