Red Hook Criterium Milano No. 6 - Saturday, October 10th

The final race of the 2015 Red Hook Criterium Championship Series by Rockstar Games is this Saturday in Bovisa, Milan. Following races in Brooklyn, London and Barcelona, the final leg sets up to be one of the most thrilling conclusions yet. 325 athletes from over 27 countries will descend upon Milan to compete in the city’s 6th annual Red Hook Crit finale.

Milano is the only city where the Red Hook Criterium is still held entirely on public streets. Without the collaboration and support the City of Milano has offered us over the years this race would not be possible. In particular, we’d like to thank, Comune di Milano - Benessere, Verde e Sport, the Sports Councillor Chiara Bisconti, and the local Police for the continuous support they have provided over the last six years.

The women ranking is headed by Ainara Elbusto with 115 points. In second position Kacey Lloyd (92 points) who managed to overcome Elbusto on the finish line in Barcelona thus reducing the gap in overall standings. Fleur Faure, Top Antagonist Winner in Barcelona, is in third place (67 points) immediately followed by the winner of the last Milano race Ash Duban (62 points).

In male ranking instead Italy occupies a prominent role with five runners in the Top 10: Ravaioli (97 points) in the first position, Scarazzati third (67 points), Reaty fifth (66 points), Bravini seventh (46 points) and Callegarin in tenth place (41 points). The outcome is still very uncertain as runners in the top five are all mathematically viable to win the overall championship series. If William Guzman (76 points) occupies the second place thanks to excellent results in all three previous races behind him the fight is tight: Paz Duque (66 points) gave a hard time to the leader Ravaioli throughout the race in Barcelona and all other athletes are more aggressive than ever.

Oscar Cycling Team by Ridewill.it with his two top men Roberto Barone (Trofeo Iride 2015 winner) and Daniele Callegarin (seventh place in both London and Barcelona where he excelled with a long breakaway takes the dinner prime with a substantial lead) is ready to fight for the race in Milan and conquer other important point useful also for the team classification where it is in the eighth position (among 6 Italian teams in the Top 10).
