How to create a bike 4. Wheels - Tech info
It is said that the wheel was a revolutionary and unsurpassed invention, but for cyclists the greatest invention after the wheel have been the two wheels! The fourth tutorial video of the "How to create a bike" series is dedicated to these two elements that form the basis of the bi-cycle. Two are precisely the wheels that allow bike riding: the rear is put into action by pedaling through the drivetrain; the front one is controlled through the steering system to direct the ride. In previous episodes have been analyzed stages of assembly of the bottom bracket together with crankset and pedals, the drivetrain and the chain, the steering; this video shows the steps required to assemble wheels, tires and inner tubes in complete safety, and then mount the wheels onto the bicycle. Use our configurator to get some help on the choice of components.
