Confirmed mobility incentives; bonus up to euro 500. Let's clarify
With the Relaunch decree, approved by the Government, incentives for bicycles, pedal assisted and otherwise, electric micro mobility (not only scooters therefore) and "individual" sharing mobility services, which therefore do not include shared cars. All of this, within what is called the "Good Mobility Experimental Program".
The Mobility Voucher has a value equal to 60% of the expenses incurred, up to a maximum of 500 euros of discount. But let's see what are the requirements to access this incentive.
Who has the right
The Mobility Voucher is aimed at adults aged in the regional capitals, in metropolitan cities, in provincial capitals and in all municipalities with a population greater than 50,000 inhabitants and is valid retroactively from 4 May 2020 (date of entry of the Prime Minister's Decree of 26 April 2020 on the Coronavirus emergency) and until 31 December 2020.
The incentive can be requested only once and exclusively for one of the intended uses. The total resources available to the fund are € 120 million. To make the most of the incentive, the suggestion is to consult our informed purchasing guides for city bikes, mountain bikes, road bikes and electric scooters.
For the years 2021 and following, hoping to overcome Coronavirus, the Government Program will instead encourage local and regional public transport and forms of sustainable mobility supplementary to it, in the face of the scrapping of cars and motorcycles considered "highly polluting".
How do you get it
To access the incentive materially, it will be necessary to refer to the site specifically prepared by the Government, which will be revealed in the coming days. For the moment, the Minister of Transport, Paola De Micheli, has only anticipated that the procedure will be very streamlined and will essentially be based on the presentation of the receipt or invoice.
The rationale for the measure, concluded the minister, "is to give an alternative to the use of public transport for places with high density of movement".
The context of the measure
"The measure must be framed", explains the Undersecretary for Transport, Roberto Traversi, "in a broader perspective of redefining environmental and sustainability policies. It is no coincidence that, in the same article, we wanted to enhance the figure of the ' mobility manager 'to be provided in metropolitan cities, in a provincial capital or in municipalities with over 50,000 inhabitants, for ongoing professional support for decision-making, planning, programming, management and promotion of optimal solutions for sustainable mobility plans and interventions " .
