New fixed gear and track frames 100% developed by Ridewill are finally in stock! Materials, geometries and technical specs have been developed in every detail for the most demanding fixed racers.
From the experience developed with Ridewill fixed gear racing team and thinking to the world of the criterium races - characterized by urban circuits with narrow and fast corners - materials, geometries and tubes have been studied in order to guarantee maximum lightness and agility while pedaling.
The tubes are in hydroformed double butted AL6061 aluminium with smooth and carefully finished welds. Aluminium finish is raw and ready for painting thanks also to the primer spray onto the welds. The rear dropouts are equipped with double reinforcing plates to ensure a perfect tightness of the nuts and precise adjustment of the chain tension.
We chose to offer two different frame models, a more classic version with standard geometries and round section tubes except from the aero down tube; the other version instead directly inspired by the world of racing with track features and all tubes with aerodynamic section.
The first has been specifically developed for the assembly of fixed gear bikes with urban spirit thanks to the more traditional lines of round section tubes and bridge over rear stays with brake mounting hole. The second one is for those who prefer to assemble a bike with race set-up, brakeless, pure fixed and pursuit style.
The track version in particular has flared vertical tube that allows a closer setting of the rear wheel shortening the wheelbase of the bike. In addition the bridge over rear stays has no hole for brake mounting because the frame is designed for pure fixed gear bike or just a front emergency brake.
The new Ridewill frame is available in 3 different sizes, either road or track version and proposed in combination with alu or alu / carbon fibre fork, but more is yet to come...so stay tuned for more info and news!
