Brompton is the world's largest manufacturer of premium quality folding bicycles for commuting. The peculiarity of the brand is the construction by hand. It all started in 1975 thanks to the inventive spirit of founder Andrew Ritchie, who was looking for an easier way to get around the city. He was a young engineer who believed a better way could be found to get around the city. In 1975, in the bedroom of his apartment overlooking Brompton Oratory, he invented a bicycle with an ingenious feature: it could be folded into 3 parts. A means of transport capable of transforming itself into a small piece of luggage and following it wherever it went. A "flying carpet" for the city.
