Even the Canadian giant Rocky Mountain has ventured into the creation of e-bikes.
Three years ago, the project of an e-bike was born that would allow to keep as much as possible the driving characteristics of a "muscular" Mtb.
Rocky Mountain started from totally innovative concepts, developing a system for the engine, called PowerPlay, with characteristics and dimensions that do not penalize driving.
Its placement very low has in fact allowed to optimize the center of gravity.
As for the 632 wh battery, it is placed inside the oblique tube so not accessible and protected from any external agent.
The frame is made of carbon, which, depending on the versions, is combined with a carriage that is also in fiber or Form Alloy alloy.
The rear suspension travel is 150 mm, while the fork is 160 mm.
The engine system developed by Rocky Mountain provides a pulley that "reads" the torque applied by the rider on the pedals and allows the engine to deliver the right level of torque, making the assistance to the pedaling more immediate, fluid and intuitive.
Through an app (compatible for Android and iOs), then, you can customize different parameters and monitor the actual battery life.
